A stalwart of the Nizwa hotel scene, the Golden Tulip is a comfortable and reasonably well-located hotel, just outside Nizwa but close enough to be a great base for visits to the town itself, and the numerous points of interests in the surrounding mountains and hills. The hotel has plenty of rooms and a good-size pool where you can relax after a day exploring the forts and villages of the region. Rooms are comfortable enough, though we would be wrong to say that they are imbued with any great character, though other areas of the hotel do have some locally-inspired touches. Members of the Holiday Architects team have stayed here on several occasions, and found the service and food to be better than expected, a view that is regularly reinforced by feedback from our clients so we are happy to recommend the hotel as a well-located and comfortable option for the Nizwa area.
